Seminar in Brynnmawr, Wales!
On Sunday the 27th of July 2025, I will be teaching an open seminar in Brynnmawr, Wales! The seminar will run from 10am to 2pm and will be held at Unit 4, Noble Square Industrial Estate, Brynnmawr, Gwent, NP23 4BS. The cost will be £35 per person. The theme for this seminar will the applications and drills for Tekki / Naihanchi 2 & 3 (no prior knowledge of either kata is needed). The seminar will also cover the core methodology of Naihanchi / Tekki 1 (the original kata) before moving onto look at the variants and alternatives Anko Itosu recorded in his creations Tekki / Naihanchi 2 & 3. This seminar will be of great interest to practitioners of any of the Tekki / Naihanchi kata and those karateka interested in the close-range methodology of old-school karate.
