Hello friends!

I believe people in this forum will have familiarity with the terms in my post, because of the great material that is shared here.

Anyway, for some time now I've been collecting historical references about a kind of old-style type of kumite, which is called kakedameshi, kake-kumite or kakidi.

I wrote an article with these references, hoping to add to the community and add to the discussion. I think it's a not very popular approach that needs to be better known. And I am aware that I am not the only one who thinks that!   The article is a bit long, so I also made a video explaining very briefly some things that I explore in more detail in the text.

I invite everyone to check out this material and join the conversation!

Here is the link to the article: https://purokarate.com.br/en/2021/08/31/article-kake-kumite-kakedameshi-the-original-free-sparring-of-karate/
