DVDs by Shihan Chris Rowen

Shihan Chris Rowen, 7th dan, has a karate lineage which can be traced directly back to the fifteenth century. He has the honour and privilege of being one of the few westerners to be awarded a teaching certificate directly from the late legendary Grandmaster Yamaguchi Gogen, tenth dan in GojuRyu karate-do, having spent years studying at the Hombu Dojo in Japan. His studies led him to Okinawa where he studied Kobudo under the late master Akamine Etsuke and he is now in his fourth decade of martial arts training and teaching.

Shihan Rowen is the chief instructor of the Bunbukan Institute of Classical Japanese Budo Culture, which has branches around the world including England, Mauritius, France, Germany, Wales and America.

A highly regarded and sought-after instructor, Shihan Rowen is also a columnist whose work has featured in both the national and international press, and he has acted as a consultant on television, film and radio.
