British
Combat Association Seminar
(Details
of Iain Abernethy's seminars can be found by clicking here)
The
British Combat Association is one of the world's leading groups
for self-protection, close-quarter combat and practical martial
arts. Peter Consterdine 8th Dan and Geoff Thompson 6th Dan are joint
chief-instructors of this pioneering organisation.
Since
its inception, The British Combat Association has been instrumental,
more so than any other organisation before, in educating the martial
arts fraternity on the true realities of combat and the complexities
of self defence.
The
British Combat Association has, over the past few years, become
to be recognised as the international centre for the development
of defensive tactics and concepts.
Their
reputation for providing the very best in tuition is second to none
and is the product of their Instructor Courses. These courses have
become the focal point of the Association's calendar of events and
have provided the very best in instruction for their member instructors.
In recent years these courses have also been opened up to non BCA
members.
The
BCA actively encourage instructors, as part of their open philosophy,
to seek as wide a range of experience of other styles and systems
as possible.

November to November 30th 2008:

15 years at the very top of the U.K. martial arts scene, the British
Combat Association will this year be holding a residential course
in November, showcasing the very best exponents of not only practical
personal combat, but of traditional systems and how they can be
made to work in many spheres of life.
To
be held at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, there will be not
only training sessions, but a full programme of lectures and discussion
groups, open to non BCA members and spearheaded by the Association's
Chief Instructors, Geoff Thompson and Peter Consterdine. There will
be a line-up of some of the foremost Instructors with Rick Young,
'Mo' Teague, John Skillen, Iain Abernethy, Russell Stutely and many
others.
Whether
you want to learn how to impact like a train, grapple for competition
or combat, understand the psychology of close quarter combat, or
how to develop explosive speed in punching and kicking, this course
will have it all. This is an opportunity not to miss, to train and
mix with some of the U.K's top practitioners.
The
